LSI 53c SCSI controller
This content has been marked as final. The original disk with Xp on it fired up without any problems, so we are currently transferring all the data back from the tape to a new HDD. They seem to be moving often, compared to the number of dead and moved links I came across, so I decided to create an FLP image with 64 bit LSI drivers that worked at least for me with 64 bit and 32 bit Windows XP.
That would be great.

You also have to be careful as some of these come in PCI-X flavour, which isn’t always obvious.
They are not on our own R2 server. Running WD diagnostic from another workstation it seems that the drive is recognised all the time, but is reading and writing only intermittently. The time now 53cc895 Furthermore, I am using a low profile PC, so I have to be doubly careful!

One forum post provided a list of driver files see belowand suggests that the drivers from Server work perfectly well in R2, but are not signed; so presumably, they will also work in Windows 533c895 x64? Results 1 to 15 of 53c985 I have done a bit of research, and I understand that the drivers were provided with some versions of Windows x 64 server, but not the R2 variants.
I thought you use the LSIR drivers? If so, what did u do? I think the LP might do the trick, but they don’t seem easy to come by.
